Value Your Life

Value Your Life

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked. “Who would like this $20 bill?”
Hands started going up. He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you – but first, let me do this.”
He proceeded to crumple the 20 dollar note up. He then asked. “Who still wants it?” Still the hands were up in the air.
“Well,” he replied, “what if I do this?” He dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. “Now, who still wants it?”

value your life

Still the hands went into the air.
“My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless; but no matter what happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you. The worth of our lives comes, not in what we do or who we know, but by …WHO WE ARE.
You are special – don’t ever forget it

VALUE HAS A VALUE ONLY IF ITS VALUE IS VALUED
Value of An Hour

Value of An Hour

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5 years old son waiting for him at the door.
SON: Daddy, may I ask you a question?

value of an hour

DADDY: Yeah sure, what it is?

SON: Dad, how much do you make an hour?

DADDY: That’s none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?
SON: I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?
DADDY: If you must know,I make Rs. 200 per hour.”

“Oh”, the little boy replied, with his head down. Looking up, he said, “Dad, may I please borrow Rs. 100?” The father furiously said, “if the only reason you asked about my pay is so that you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or other nonsense, then march yourself to your room and go to bed. Think why you are being so selfish. I work hard every day and do not like this childish behavior.”

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy’s questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think, “May be there was something he really needed to buy with that Rs. 100 and he really didn’t ask for money very often!” The man went to the door of little boy’s room and opened the door.
“Are you a sleep, son?” He asked. “No daddy, I’m awake,” replied the boy. “I’ve been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier”, said the man. “It’s been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you, Here’s the Rs.100 you asked for”.

The little boy sat straight up, smiling “oh thank you dad!” He yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled some crippled up notes. The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, then looked up at his father.

“Why do you want money if you already had some?” the father grumbled. “Because I didn’t have enough, but now I do,” the little boy replied. “Daddy I have Rs. 200 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you”. Father was dumbstruck.
Moral: It’s just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life! We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family.

Little Boy’s Love for his Family

Little Boy’s Love for his Family

I was walking around in a Big Bazar store making shopping, when I saw a Cashier talking to a boy couldn’t have been more than 5 or 6 years old. The Cashier said, "I’m sorry, but you don’t have enough money to buy this doll." Then the little boy turned to me and asked, "Uncle, are you sure I don’t have enough money?"

I counted his cash and replied, "You know that you don’t have enough money to buy the doll, my dear." The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand. Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to. "It’s the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much . I wanted to Gift her for her Birthday. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there." His eyes were so sad while saying this.

"My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister." My heart nearly stopped. The little boy looked up at me and said, "I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall." Then he showed me a very nice photo of him, where he was laughing. He then told me "I want mommy to take my picture with her so my sister won’t forget me, I love my mommy and I wish she doesn’t have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister."

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly. I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. "Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?" He said, "OK, I hope I do have enough." I added some of my money to his with out him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.

The little boy said, "Thank you God for giving me enough money!" Then he looked at me and added, "I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give It to my sister. He heard me! I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn’t dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. My mommy loves white roses."

I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn’t get the little boy out of my mind. Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl. The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state.

The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy? Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away. I couldn’t stop myself. I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial. She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest. I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever…

The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him…

Moral: Respect life, Follow and Obey Rules. Don’t make anyone else to pay and bear for your mistakes. Do not make the mistakes which cost others something that can never be replaced. Always have a giving hand and extend your help to those in need and sorrow.
PLEASE DO NOT DRUNK & DRIVE.

Accept People As They Are

Accept People As They Are

A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called parents from San Francisco. “Mom and Dad, coming home, but I have a favor to ask. I have a friend I woyld like to bring home with me. “Sure,” they replied “we would love to meet him.”

“There’s something you should know,” the son continued, “he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mine and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us.”

“I’m sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live.”

“No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us.”

“Son,” said the father, “you don’t know what you are asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live and we can’t let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He will find a way to live on his own.”

At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later, however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building they were told. The police believed it was suicide. The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also discovered something they didn’t know, their son had only one arm and one leg.

Aren't the parents in this story like many of us.? We find it easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have around, but we don’t like people who inconvenience us make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather stay away from people who aren’t as healthy beautiful, or smart as we are. Thankfully there’s someone who won’t treat us that way. Someone who loves us with an unconditional love that welcomes us into the forever family, regardless of how messed up we are.

Be patient , Think & Act

People are being used and things are being loved.

The below story is true. Actually we are all like the man. We care so much of the materialistic things around us. This story touches every corner of your Heart.

While a man was polishing his new car, his 5 yr old daughter picked stone & scratched lines on the side of the car.

In anger , the man ran to his daughter, knocked her away, and hammered the little girl's hands into pulp as punishment.

When the father calmed down, he rushed his daughter to the hospital.

Although the doctor tried desperately to save the crushed bones, he finally had to amputate the fingers from both the girl's hands.

When the girl woke up from the surgery and saw her bandaged stubs,

She innocently said, Daddy i am sorry about your car.

Then she asked,
But when are my fingers going to grow back?

Man was so hurt and speechless. He went back to car and kicked it alot of times,

Devastated by his own actions...... sitting infront of that car he looked at the scratches , child had written "LOVE YOU DAD.

The next day that man committed suicide. . .

Think before you act. Be patient. Forgive & Forget. Love one and all
